A retailer-wide promo weekend pushed by Afterpay twice a year. Electronics, small appliances and fashion see genuine mid-range discounts — not Black Friday depth, but a solid reason to hold a planned purchase for a week or two.

The fortnight before Father’s Day is one of the two reliable windows for tools, coffee gear and “dad tech” promos outside the November events.
87DAYS10 Nov 2026 – 12 Nov 2026 · Mid-November, the week before Black Friday
Australia’s home-grown online sale, usually a 53-hour run in mid-November. Increasingly a warm-up act for Black Friday — good for gauging what Black Friday prices will look like.
104DAYS27 Nov 2026 – 30 Nov 2026 · The Friday after US Thanksgiving — late November
The deepest, widest discounting event on the Australian calendar — it has overtaken Boxing Day for most categories. If you only plan one purchase window a year, this is it.
133DAYS26 Dec 2026 – 5 Jan 2027 · 26 December, running into January
The traditional clearance event. Still strong for TVs, bedding, and whatever retailers over-ordered for Christmas — and the January tail is often better than the day itself.
267DAYS9 May 2027 · Second Sunday of May
The other gifting spike. Small appliances, coffee machines and “treat” tech run promos through the fortnight before.
290DAYS1 June 2027 – 30 June 2027 · June, ending 30 June
End of financial year: retailers clear stock before 30 June, and anything claimable as a work expense (laptops, tools, office gear) gets genuine tax-time pricing.
304DAYS15 June 2027 – 31 July 2027 · Mid-June through July
The famous Australian ritual: Big W, Target, Kmart and Amazon all run their biggest toy discounting of the year in the middle of winter. The smart Christmas shop happens in July, hidden in the garage until December.
334DAYS15 July 2027 – 18 July 2027 · Mid-July, Prime members only
Amazon’s members-only mid-year event. Genuinely sharp on Amazon devices, headphones, and small appliances — and it drags competitors into matching promos the same week.
